WHY PEI CONFERENCES?
With dedicated conference teams working in both our London and New York offices, Private Equity International specialises in hosting premier events for the private equity industry all over the world.
We take great pride in designing and delivering forums that are substantive, topical, well organised - and, as a result, well attended.
Our meetings offer an excellent combination of education and interaction: you can expect to gain both practical and strategic knowledge and at the same time develop your network of contacts significantly.
You can find a list of both our forthcoming forums and examples of our previously successful past events on this site.
Here are ten key reasons why our forums are so successful:
1. The agendas are robust, the topics substantive
With four magazines, a growing library of books and directories and the most widely read online news site in the world - all dedicated to private equity - we are uniquely placed to develop relevant forums that address the right topics at the right time in the right markets. We know our market intimately and we bring that sharp journalistic focus to every new forum concept we develop.
2. The best speakers participate at our events
Not only do we know the private equity industry intimately, we also know the people shaping this industry. Their familiarity with (and enthusiasm for) our media activities ensures that we can bring the leading figures from all over the world to participate at our events. Delegates get to hear from, and interact with, private equity's thought leaders.
3. We are not a conference machine
Our intention is not to churn out cookie-cutter conferences that are run at minimum cost in an effort to maximise profits - often despite meagre attendances. The reputational hazard for us would be too great. Instead, we have a portfolio of bespoke events tailored to our global audience of private equity professionals.
4. Our events are multi-format
We realise that intensive forum programmes need to use a variety of presentation formats to ensure delegates get best value. To this end you will find our agendas combinine plenary speeches with more in-depth panel discussions - and we will also offer break out sessions (intimate workshops and roundtables) enabling delegates to join a smaller group to focus on a more narrowly defined topic for longer.
5. "Interactive" means more than a roving microphone
A number of methods can be used to deliver genuine and additive interaction between the audience and speakers. For instance, we have adopted the latest technology to enable delegates to text message questions to moderators and to participate in live voting sessions during a conference - and where the results can be viewed at once.
6. Our forum moderators work hard
The people we have moderating our forums are expected to do much more than introduce speakers. They are vital in helping to maximise the interaction between speakers and the audience; they also help shape the discussion during the conference and they ensure agendas are followed and schedules adhered to.
7. Our support materials are extensive and useful
We make a point of building dedicated websites for each of our events, enabling you to get a comprehensive picture of the conference in advance and also for delegates to retrieve presentations online afterwards. Detailed profiles and photographs of each speaker are made available online. On the day itself, we give each attendee a complete workbook, full delegate list, relevant papers from speakers as well as copies of our latest publications.
8. Our conferences run smoothly and efficiently
Our conference team includes professionals with many years' experience in programming major financial market events. We also have our own team of in-house administrators who ensure that the entire process of registering and attending one of our conferences is a pleasant, hassle-free experience.
9. Our events take place at world-class venues
We work hard to ensure that our events take place at hotels that have an appropriate infrastructure. Not only should the meeting rooms be of the right quality and the support services sufficient but also the location of the hotel needs to be convenient.
10. We are passionate about private equity
Our aim is for our business (itself created by an MBO) to be the leading private equity media organisation in the world. This informs all that we publish and produce. Given that our conferences are one of the most direct and powerful connections we have to our market it is vital that they represent all that is best about our work, therefore we take enormous pride in their success.
