ArchiMed raises €500m

The Lyon-based firm has reached more than half of its fundraising target for its debut mid-cap private equity fund.

ArchiMed has collected €500 million in its first close of MED Platform I. The initial fundraising target of the fund is €800 million.

The fund will invest in healthcare sectors across Europe including the UK, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands and Switzerland, with small- and mid-caps.

The fund received commitments from European and North American investors, including foundations, family offices and sovereign wealth funds.
