Arkansas Teacher Retirement System has agreed to commit $30 million to Clearlake Capital Partners VI, a contact at the pension informed Private Equity International. Clearlake’s sixth series fund makes opportunistic equity and debt investments in middle market companies undergoing change and/or are in under-served industries or markets in North America.

The $17.35 billion US public pension has a 12.0 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 12.20 percent.

As illustrated below, ATRS has made seven commitments to private equity funds with a 2019 vintage, which combined constitute $210 million.
