Bank of Scotland has appointed Paul Brooks, the former head of PPM Capital, as a non-executive director to advise its integrated finance team.
Brooks, who was chief executive of PPM Capital until last year, will provide independent strategic advice on the division’s burgeoning investment business. He will answer to Mark Hammond, who leads the team, and will be based in London.
Brooks has previously been a non-executive director and chairman of Gresham Private Equity, a UK mid-market firm, and a non-executive director at Parallel Private Equity and UK property company Moorfield Group.
He is also a founding director of Fulcrum Partners, which provides training to the private equity market.
The Bank of Scotland, which is part of HBOS, launched its integrated finance business in February 2000. It also appointed former 3i director Robin Winning to the team in May.
