BrainHeart Capital is establishing Excilan, the first company in the world for multilateral roaming between Wireless Internet Service Providers (WISPs).

The company will pursue technology that will enable WLAN technology to provide faster access to wireless Internet access.

“WISP is rapidly becoming one of the hottest areas in the wireless communication industry. However, multilateral roaming is necessary for it to really take off. We’re establishing Excilan with some very experienced people in order to remove this obstacle quickly,” commented Magnus Melander, Investment Manager at BrainHeart Capital.

BrainHeart Capital is the largest industrial capital venture fund in Europe exclusively investing in wireless technology. The fund totals SEK 2150m, which is invested solely in wireless technology.
