Cambridge closes Gateway

The £32.3m fund will invest in Cambridge-based technology companies looking for first round funding.

The Cambridge Gateway Fund has closed with £32.3m.

The fund announced its first closing of £13m last March.

Institutionals have invested in the fund, as have pension funds, corporations, government agencies, Cambridge University colleges and individuals.

Alan Barrell is managing partner of the fund, which has so far invested in Cyan Technology; ActiveRF; Intercytex; and Antenova.
