At the end of Q1, we reported a weak level of secondaries fundraising- $3.61bn- which suggested that investors reacted to fears that the big portfolio sales of 2012 and 2013 were coming to an end. However, the $12.12 billion that was raised so far in Q2 (as of June 26th) surely highlights increased sentiment by investors towards future secondaries deal flow.
70 percent of the capital raised in 2014 was raised in June, with Pomona Capital and Northleaf Capital Partners each closing funds.
