European private equity provider Cinven has announced the appointment of Alexandra Hess to its investor relations team.
Hess joins from New York-headquartered Oak Hill Capital Management, where she worked for five years, most recently as vice president for limited partner relations and fundraising.
At Cinven, Hess will report directly into partner Andrew Joy, who is the firm’s principal point of contact for limited partners. Including Hess, the team now comprises three individuals.
Cinven was established in 1977 and has offices in Frankfurt and Paris as well as London.
The firm is currently investing from its €4.4 billion ($5.4 billion) third buyout fund, which closed in April 2002.
Recent realisations for the firm have included the sale of the Cinven-led consortium’s 83.2 percent stake in the Unique Pub company for €609 million. In March the firm also led a consortium that sold French publishing company Groupe Moniteur to French-Canadian private equity fund Sagard for €275 million.
