Credit Suisse, the Swiss bank, has made several appointments to its private equity fund of funds business. Derek Jones and Arnaud Lipkowicz have joined the bank as partners while Mina Pacheco Nazemi has joined as a vice president.
Jones was previously a managing partner at US investment advisory firm Oncore Capital and a founding partner at mid-market private equity firm Provender Capital.
At Credit Suisse, he will be responsible for making co-investments, managing client relationships, and conducting due diligence on emerging managers. He will be based in New York.
Lipkowicz was formerly a director of investments at the LCF Rothschild Group where he co-founded and developed a European third-party private equity business. Before that, he was a senior associate at the AXA-AIG private equity fund of funds business in New York.
At Credit Suisse, he will be based in London and will focus on the bank’s European activities.
Nazemi will be based in Los Angeles and will concentrate on due diligence on emerging managers and co-investments. She was previously a senior investment associate in private equity at GE Asset Management.
Credit Suisse’s private equity fund of funds business is part of its asset management business which has $20 billion under management.
