Siparex leads Inside Contactless financing; Amicus takes majority stake in Adria

Siparex leads Inside Contactless financing

French venture capital firm Siparex Ventures has led a E10m additional equity round for Inside Contactless, a French semiconductor firm based in Aix-en-Provence. Siparex provided E2.6m to the latest funding round with Vertex Funds in Singapore (E2m), NIF Ventures in Japan (E2m) the other new investors. Previous investors GIMV and Alta Berkeley have also invested in this round.

This latest financing will fund Inside’s development in North America and Asia, capitalizing on the rapid growth of the contactless semiconductor market in the region. Vertex and NIF will assist the firm in its move into Asia.

Amicus takes majority stake in Adria

Amicus Partners, a turnaround and buyout firm based in Northern Ireland has taken a majority stake in Adria, a UK based manufacturer of hosiery. The terms of the transaction have not been disclosed, although the firm is reported to have turnover in excess of £40m.

Additional investment in the firm has come from Invest NI (Northern Ireland's new inward investment agency), Crystal SA of Columbia and Real SpA of Italy (both Adria suppliers), as well as senior managers of the business. Amicus Partners were advised on the transaction by IBI Corporate Finance.
