IXI lands TLcom Capital investment; BIDSA takes Astral Piscinas minority stake

IXI lands TLcom Capital investment

 

TLcom Capital Partners, a London-based venture capital firm, has led a $15m funding round for IXI Mobile, a provider of wireless software solutions provider based in Palo Alto.

 

TLcom was joined in the third round by previous investors, including Draper Fisher Jurvetson ePlanet Ventures, Gemini Israel Funds and Texas Instruments. The funds will be used to continue the company’s product development and marketing. TLcom general partner Colin Watts joins the firm’s board of directors.

 

BIDSA takes Astral Piscinas minority stake

 

BanSabadell Inversion Desarrollo (BIDSA), the private equity division of Banco Sabadell, has taken a minority stake in Astral Piscinas, a Spanish manufacturer of swimming pool and water treatment products.

 

BIDSA was joined by Aurica XXI, a Spanish fund 50 per cent-controlled by Banco Pastor. The two firms paid E26m for the stake in Astral, which has operations in France, Spain, Italy and the US. The proceeds of the investment will be used to increase the firm’s product range and expand operations into new markets.
