Elwin Capital invests in Aduva; ICC leads Intune investment round

Elwin Capital invests in Aduva

UK venture capital firm Elwin Capital Partners is to invest in US IT systems business Aduva. Elwin has contributed $4m to an $18m third round of financing, which includes investments from the Intel 64 Fund, BMC Software and IBM.

Aduva, which distributes Linux operating systems, will use the financing to boost its presence in the European market.

The transaction is the second to be completed by Elwin Capital this week. The firm has also participated in a $24m financing round, also in the US, for Dune Networks, a communication platform solutions provider based in California. Other participants in the first round of funding include Aurum-SBC, Jerusalem Venture Partners and Pitango Venture Capital.

ICC leads Intune investment round

ICC Venture Capital, the Irish software and technology investor, has led a round of financing for Intune Technologies, a Dublin-based developer of test and calibration applications. The company will use the proceeds of the investment round to fund expansion in sales, customer support, and business development programmes.

Other investors in this round include Irish development agency Enterprise Ireland, 3i and a number of private investors. The round was co-ordinated by Merrion Corporate Finance.
