Apax, InnovaFrance and Cambridge Gateway invest in Travelprice, Delta Caps and Antenova.

What price travel?

Apax Partners has led a third round of funding in Travelprice worth E22m.

Avenir Entreprise, BVV Argentaria, Exor, General Electric Equity, Opera Finance, and Partech International also contributed.

Travelprice, a travel website, hopes to break even in the second half of 2002.

InnovaFrance invests in Delta Caps

InnovaFrance-French Fonds Commun de Placement pour l'Innovation, Innovatech Grand Montreal and private individuals have invested $2.6 million in Delta Caps International, which engineers explosives.

Delta Caps will use the money to develop its website, which will provide online services to mining engineers.

Cambridge Gateway Fund puts £3.4m into Antenova

Cambridge Gateway Fund has led an investment in £3.4m in Antenova, an antenna firm.

Other investors included NIF (Nippon Investment Fund), Quester, FNI – the fund of the Nixdorf family – and the venture arm of Analysys.

Alan Barrell of Cambridge Gateway Fund and Jamie Brooke of Quester join the Antenova board of directors.

The funding round will allow Antenova to develop prototypes of its product ideas, which include antennas for 2, 2.5 and 3G mobile phones and basestations, and micro-miniature antennas for the fast-growing Bluetooth market. The company's first working prototypes should be available before the end of 2001.
