Pan-European venture capital firm DN Capital has recruited Pierre Suhrcke as managing partner.
He will focus on financial service technology companies and development capital deals, as well as covering German-speaking countries.
Suhrcke was the European partner for ABS Ventures, the former venture business of Deutsche Bank, having participated in its management buyout in 2004. Previously he had worked at Deutsche Bank for 17 years, including a spell as the bank’s venture head.
His Deutsche Bank investments included capital market transaction processing business Trema, which has become a $200 million (€149 million) company as part of Wall Street Systems, a Warburg Pincus portfolio company, and financial risk management company Risk Metrics.
DN Capital invests €1-10 million ($1.3 -13 million) in Series A funding rounds.
