Early-stage Crucible heading for Northern Ireland

The Dublin-based VC firm is keen to build an investment portfolio of Northern Irish technology companies and has raised $10 million to do it

The Irish early stage investment company has announced plans to open an office in Belfast alongside the news that it has raised $10 million in funding for technology start ups based in Northern Ireland.

The Dublin-based company said the funding came from institutional investors, US venture capital firms and individuals involved in the technology sector based in the province.

Crucible is planning to open its office by the end of the summer when it also expects to make its first funding announcement.
