Enterprise Investors truck fleet operators

Enterprise Investors will merge two Polish transportation businesses in a deal worth €34 million. The deal comes as Société Générale acquires a Polish baker.

Enterprise Investors' Polish Enterprise Fund VI (PEF VI) has invested €23 million in STD Slovakia and Donivo MKD, two Slovak transportation service providers.

As part of the deal, STD and Donivo will merge and operate under the STD Donivo brand. The companies’ founders will retain their minority positions, while Enterprise Investors will become the 75 percent shareholder. The company plans to continue its expansion across the Central and Eastern Europe region.

The transaction, worth €34 million including debt and a share capital increase, will support STD and Donivo’s growth. Both businesses aim to modernise and expand their fleet and to broaden and improve their range of services.

STD and Donivo were founded in the early 1990s and became active in the international transportation business after 1998. Their development continued after Slovakia’s accession to the EU.

The companies provide transportation services to major European clients and manage a combined fleet of more than 330 modern trucks. The combined turnover of STD Slovakia and Donivo MKD for this year is estimated at €55 million.
