ERS approves $20m in commitments

The US public pension has backed two private equity co-investment vehicles.

Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS) has agreed to commit $15 million and $5 million to two separate private equity co-investment vehicles, a contact at the pension informed Private Equity International. The names of the two vehicles were not disclosed.

The $28.30 billion US public pension has a 13.0 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 14.60 percent.

As illustrated in the charts below, ERS has made nine commitments to private equity funds with a 2018 or 2019 vintage, which combined constitute $412.92 million.
