New York-based Sixpoint Partners is expanding its presence to Asia, and has brought on Benjamin Wiley as partner.
Wiley joins the firm from Standard Chartered where he was the Asia head for the metals and mining group for strategic clients.Â
In his new role, Wiley will lead Sixpoint's expansion throughout Asia, and will focus on primary fundraising, secondaries advisory, and co-investments.
Sixpoint now maintains four offices, and has recently expanded its Chicago and San Francisco locations. Â The new Asia office will be located in Hong Kong.
“We are very excited to be bringing on Benjamin, and are looking forward to adding a presence in London later this year,” Eric Zoller, co-founder and partner at Sixpoint Partners told Private Equity International.Â
Wiley's move to Sixpoint is the latest in a wave of departures from Standard Chartered. As PEI reported last week, Viswanathan Shankar has left the bank to start his own private equity firm. The bank also announced a restructuring of its board of directors.
