HMEPS approves $40m in commitments

The US public pension has backed a buyout and a debt fund.

Houston Municipal Employees’ Pension System has committed up to $20 million each to Anchorage Illiquid Opportunities VI and Siris Partners IV.

The $3 billion US public pension has a 17.5 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 20.3 percent.
