Illinois Teachers approves over $160m in commitments

The US public pension has backed three buyout funds.

Teachers’ Retirement System of the State of Illinois has approved a $75 million commitment to SK Capital Partners V, £38.5 million to Inflexion Buyout V and £31.5 million to Inflexion Partnership Capital Fund II.

The $51 billion US public pension has a 12 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 13.2 percent.
