Industri Kapital opens in Paris

The Nordic firm is extending its European reach as it readies itself for a new fundraising initiative next year.

Industri Kapital, a European private equity firm with offices in London, Stockholm, Oslo and Hamburg, has opened an office in Paris.

Christopher Masek, a partner at the firm, said “The opening of a dedicated Paris office reflects the increasing importance of the French market to Industri Kapital.”

The firm has been investing in France since 2000 and has made a total of eight investments to date. Current portfolio companies include Group Cerba, a laboratory test group, SIA Group, an interior design brand, and Idex, an independent energy and environment services company.

Former investments include Labeyrie, an upmarket branded food products, and Groupe Fives-Lille, an industrial engineering group.

Industri Kapital manages close to €4 billion euros and is understood to be preparing its latest €1.5 billion fundraising for early next year. In August this year, the firm reorganised its partnership structure and let go two country heads: Thomas Ramsay, who led its Finnish team, and Samir Kamal, its Swedish team’s leader.
