Kelda chief joins DSC advisory board

Duke Street Capital has appointed Kelda chairman John Napier to its advisory board.

UK private equity firm Duke Street Capital, has announced the appointment of John Napier, former chairman of Booker plc and currently executive chairman of Kelda plc, to the firm’s advisory board.

Previous roles for Napier have centred around business services and media, including roles at Hays plc, where he was group managing, as well as a spell as marketing director at market research group AGB

Duke Street director Tim Lebus said that Napier’s work at Hays would be of particular significance. “We are currently looking at a number of deals in the support services sector. It’s an area of very good opportunities and we believe that Napier’s expertise will be particularly valuable.”

According to Duke Street chairman Edmund Truell, Napier will assist the firm’s investment team on deal origination, investee company management and exit management. “He brings with him an in-depth knowledge of the business services and media sectors, two of our core sectors.” The appointment increases the Duke Street Capital advisory board to eight members.
