Christina Pamberg, who joined Kohlberg Kravis Roberts to spearhead its European investor relations and capital raising activities in 2005, has left the firm.
Pamberg left “a few weeks ago”, according to a source within the firm, meaning her departure shortly followed the appointment of Alex Fletcher as the new head of KKR's European client and partner group, which is responsible for investor relations and capital raising.
KKR declined to comment on the departure and appointment.
Fletcher came from Goldman Sachs, where he was most recently the head of Goldman Sachs Asset Management EMEA sales, excluding Germany and Austria. He reports to Suzanne Donohoe – another ex-Goldman employee – who joined KKR as global head of the client partner group in February.
Fletcher's appointment was one of a series of additions to the team as KKR gears up for life as a publicly traded company. In October the firm merged with its Euronext-listed affiliate KKR Private Equity Investors as it progresses a long-term plan to become fully listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
In late September, KKR appointed executive Jonathan Levin as its first ever head of investor relations for its public shareholders. Last year the firm named a former Newsweek bureau chief, Peter McKillop, as its director of global communications and Coca-Cola's European public affairs chief Ludo Bammens to fill the same role at KKR.
Before joining KKR, Pamberg was with secondaries and fund of funds firm HarbourVest Partners for five years. At HarbourVest she was involved in both primary, direct and co-investments and latterly served as vice-president in the secondaries group.
