The Los Angeles County Employees’ Retirement Association (LACERA) is looking to scale up its investments in emerging markets including Asia, Latin America and Africa next year.
The pension fund has previously committed capital to funds managed by MBK Partners, GGV Capital, Lilly Asia Venture and Australis Partners for investing in emerging markets. Going forward, it aims to establish more primary fund relationships to capture the potential growth in developing countries.
Currently, LACERA allocates seven percent of its private equity investment portfolio to emerging markets, representing approximately $340 million.
