30 September

First State Super and Hostplus have committed A$110 million and A$35 million respectively to Blackbird Ventures.

Kansas Public Employees Retirement System has committed $75 million to Ares Corporate Opportunities Fund V and $50 million to Snow Phipps III.

 

29 September

Houston Firefighters' Relief and Retirement Fund has named Ajit Singh chief investment officer.

Houston Firefighters' Relief and Retirement Fund has committed $30 million to Insignia Capital Partners, a buyout fund focused on North America.

 

28 September

New York State Common Retirement Fund has committed €200 million to EQT VII, €150 million to Bridgepoint Europe V, $15 million to Contour Opportunity Fund and $12 million to Anchor Equity Partners Fund II.

GoldPoint Partners, a private equity firm headquartered in New York, has appointed Scott Higbee as the Senior Managing Principal and Head of Business Development.

 

25 September

Alaska Permanent Fund's chief investment officer, Jay Willoughby, was named CIO of  The Investment Fund for Foundations, effective Oct 13.

The North Carolina State Treasury has appointed Brian Bolcar to manage its private equity portfolio.

 

24 September

El Paso Firemen & Policemen's Pension Fund has appointed Tyler C. Grossman executive director. Grossman currently is chairman of the fund’s board of trustees and his replacement may be addressed at next month’s board meeting.

Louisiana State Employees Retirement System will interview three buyout finalists and select a mandate today with one of AEA Investors, Brookfield Capital Partners or Warburg Pincus.

 

23 September

New Mexico State Investment Council has committed $100 million to Ares Corporate Opportunities Fund V. The institution has invested in several previous Ares vehicles.

San Luis Obispo County Pension Trust's investment consultant, Verus, has been authorized to conduct a search for additional private equity investments in order to reach the 5% target allocation.

 

22 September

 
Los Angeles Fire & Police Pension System has committed $20 million to Summit Partners Growth Equity Fund IX and $5 million to Summit Partners Venture Capital Fund IV.

South Carolina Retirement System's Chief Investment Officer, Hershel Harper, decided to resign from his position to consider further professional opportunities effective September 30.

 

21 September

Pennsylvania State Employees’ Retirement System has committed $50 million each to RRJ Capital Master Fund III, Audax Private Equity Fund V, Blackstone Capital Partners VII and Ridgemont Equity Partners II.

Texas County and District Retirement System has committed $30 million to OrbiMed Private Investments VI. The transaction was finalized last week.

 

18 September

Washington State Investment Board has committed $750 million to Warburg Pincus Private Equity XII. The fund will invest in venture and growth capital, buyouts, recapitalizations and special situations.


16 September

The Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association is requesting proposals from qualified consultants to recalculate and verify that private equity investment management fees, expenses, and carried interest were charged in accordance with the limited partnership agreement.

At its September 10 meeting, Marin County Employees' Retirement Association confirmed a $50 million commitment to Pathway Private Equity Fund Investors 8.


15 September

The Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan has named Nicole Musicco to the newly created position of managing director for Asia-Pacific and head of its Hong Kong office.

Maine Public Employees Retirement System has committed up to $60 million to Riverside Micro-Cap Fund IV.

 

14 September

The Oregon Investment Council has approved an up to $250 million mandate to a separate account with General Atlantic for growth equity.

 

11 September

In May, San Francisco Employees' Retirement System approved a $100 million commitment to Apollo Natural Resources Fund II. The investment was finalised on August 21.

Connecticut Retirement Plans and Trust Fund has committed $75 million to Clearlake Capital Partners IV, a fund focused on special situations, distressed and value investments.


10 September

San Diego County Employees' Retirement Association has appointed David Wescoe CEO.

According to the September quarterly report, Michigan Department of Treasury committed $300 million to Blackstone Capital Partners VII, $150 million to Coller International Partners VII, $111 million to Carlyle Europe Partners IV, $75 million to Centerbridge Capital Partners III, $45 million to Encap Energy Capital Fund X, $40 million to Peninsula Fund VI and $30 million to Arbotreum Ventures IV in the quarter ended June 30.


9 September

Teachers' Retirement System of Louisiana has committed $75 million each to Colony Distressed Credit & Special Situations Fund IV and Summit Partners Growth Equity IX.


8 September

Caledonia Investments, a listed investment trust, has boosted its unquoted investment team by appointing Jayne Mould as an investment manager.


7 September

New Hampshire Retirement System has committed $50 million each to Monroe Capital Private Credit II and Gramercy Distressed Opportunity Fund III as well as €45 million to BlueBay Direct Lending Fund II.


4 September

Last week, PKA AIP closed one of the largest fund commitments in its history, a $125 million investment in Audax Private Equity Fund V.


3 September

The California State Teachers' Retirement System's U.S. buyout portfolio has underperformed its expected benchmark over each of the one, three, five and ten year periods evaluated.


2 September

At the investment committee meeting tomorrow, Teachers' Retirement System of Louisiana will review potential private market investments: Colony Distressed Credit Fund IV, Crow Holdings Realty Partners VII and Summit Partners Growth Equity IX.

The Ohio Public Employees Retirement System appointed Richard D. Shafer as its news Chief Investment Officer.

 

1 September

Texas County and District Retirement System has committed $50 million to Summit Partners Growth Equity Fund IX and $35 million to Summit Partners Venture Capital Fund IV.

University of Florida Foundation's private equity portfolio outperformed its benchmark of 8.6% with a fiscal year return of 17.4%. The venture growth equity strategy was a strong contributor.
