MassPRIM approves $35m in commitments

The US public pension has backed North America- and Western Europe-focused funds.

Massachusetts Pension Reserves Invesment Management Board has approved commitments of $150 million each to Thoma Bravo Fund XIII and TowerBrook Investors V, $75 million each to TowerBrook Structured Opportunities II and Providence Strategic Growth III, $50 million to Thompson Street Capital Partners V and $35 million to Polaris Growth Fund I.

The $68.5 billion US public pension has an 11 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 10.6 percent.
