Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners has hired Christophe Nicolas as an executive director in the Private Equity Fund of Funds group based in London.
Nicolas will take on a senior role within the secondaries team, with particular focus on international investment opportunities. The team is now made up of eight people, who are integrated within the 30 person strong Private Equity Fund of Funds team.
The French national joins Morgan Stanley from UK-based Greenpark Capital, where he was the senior investment director for the secondaries team for four years. Prior to this, he spent three years at UK private equity firm Permira, working on buyouts, following a five year stint as principal at Broadview, now Jefferies, the London-based alternative assets advisor. He spent his early career as an investment banker with Goldman Sachs and BNP Paribas in Hong Kong.
Morgan Stanley is strengthening its secondaries team in response to a global increase in secondary investments, the firm said in a statement.
