Motive Partners raises $473m

The New York-headquartered investment firm closes debut fund.

Motive Partners has held a final close of its debut fund, Motive Capital Fund I, at $473 million. The fund had originally targeted $500 million for growth and buyout investments in financial services and businesses services technology companies.

Investors in the fund include the Allied Irish Banks, the New York State Common Retirement Fund, and public pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, alternative asset managers, family offices, endowments and foundations based in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Australasia.

Houlihan Lokey provided placement agent services while Gibson Dunn served as legal counsel.
