Natwest expands private equity group

The development capital arm of RBS has added a director to its recently formed Scottish office.

Natwest Development Capital (NWDC), part of the Royal Bank of Scotland’s private equity division, has appointed Hazel McIntyre to its Scottish team.

McIntyre has worked with the Royal Bank since 1988 in various corporate finance roles. Her previous position was a director in Scotland in the bank’s leveraged finance department, where she led a team of five investors and was responsible for providing senior and mezzanine finance in support of leveraged buyout, buyin and acquisition transactions throughout Scotland. She has worked on the £38m MBI of Prestwick Airport and the £15m purchase of Hesta by MI Services.

NWDC focuses on private equity transactions involving investments ranging between £1m and £10m. Over the last 12 months, the group has invested £30m in ten deals. The Scottish office, which was formed earlier this year, did two of the them – the MBOs of Horstmann Group and Roxspur Measurement and Control.
