New Mexico SIC approves $180m in commitments

The US sovereign wealth fund has backed two multi-regional focused funds.

New Mexico State Investment Council announced commitments of $105 million to Carlyle International Energy Partners II (which includes $65 million to the main fund and $40 million to the co-investment) and $75 million to TA Select Opportunities Fund.

As illustrated in the charts below, the $25.26 billion US sovereign wealth fund has an 11.00 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 11.64 percent. A total of $675 million was committed by New Mexico SIC to private equity in 2019.
