New Mexico SIC approves $270m in commitments

The US sovereign wealth fund has backed four vehicles in its latest round of commitments.

New Mexico State Investment Council has approved $270 million-worth of private equity commitments across four vehicles, a contact at the sovereign wealth fund informed Private Equity International.

The commitments comprise $100 million each to Oaktree Opportunities Fund XI and Silver Point Specialty Credit Fund II, $30 million to Menlo Ventures XV and $40 million to Bridgepoint Development Capital IV.

The $27.44 billion US sovereign wealth fund has a 12 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 10.67 percent.
