New York State Teachers’ Retirement System has agreed to $490 million worth of private equity commitments, according to the pension’s October Board meeting materials. The commitments comprise of $40 million to SKCP Catalyst Fund I, $100 million to Cortec Group Fund VII, $150 million to the third iteration of a HarbourVest-managed co-investment separate account and $200 million to Orion Energy Credit Opportunities Fund III.
The $121.80 billion US public pension has an 8.0 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 7.50 percent.
