European mid-market private equity firm Palamon Capital Partners has bolstered its investment team with the appointment of Ricardo Caupers as a vice president. He was formerly a principal within Boston Consulting Group’s New York office.
Caupers, a Portuguese national, joins Palamon as it is midway through the deployment of its €670 million second fund, with 45 percent invested. His appointment follows last year's departure of Miles Cresswell-Turner, the partner behind the 2003 buy-and-build investment in wealth management firm John Scott & Partners, who left Palamon for rival mid-market firm Duke Street in November.
Other recent appointments made by Palamon include Jonathan Heathcote, formerly of European Acquisition Capital, as partner in July last year, and Valerio Boccardi, formerly a director at Italian buyout house Magenta Investimenti, who joined as a vice president in March.
Palamon’s deal team now numbers 15 professionals.
The firm also spent time growing its advisory board last year, recruiting telecoms and media veteran Peter Currie and Italian corporate heavyweight Lorenzo Pellicioli.
