Pamplona to acquire MedAssets for $2.7bn

The firm intends combine its Precyse business with MedAssets Revenue Cycle Management segment, and sell off other parts of the company.

Pamplona Capital Management will acquire MedAssets, a healthcare revenue and supply chain management business, for about $2.7 billion in enterprise value, a 44.5 percent premium to the 30-day trading volume weighted average price of MedAssets stocks.

Pamplona is paying $31.35 per MedAssets share in cash and the transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2016.
