EQT Partners is promoting Peter Korsholm as head of its Copenhagen office. He will also become head of EQT Partners Equity business in Denmark. The firm said the appointment was a natural development of its franchise and would be a smooth transition from Ole Andersen, who has decided to step down.
Peter Korsholm, who previously worked at Morgan Stanley in London, joined EQT Partners in 1999 and was appointed partner 2006.
Korsholm is currently on the board of BTX Group and ISS. He will also join the board of Gambro BCT.
Ole Andersen, who has headed the Danish operation the last five years, will be engaged as senior advisor to EQT, and will spend approximately 50 percent of his time on EQT assignments, including EQT’s efforts in Denmark and Eastern Europe.
He will also continue to represent EQT on the boards of ISS, Dako and Gambro BCT.
Thomas von Koch, senior partner and head of EQT Equity said: “Peter Korsholm has in a very impressive way proved that he has the skills and ambitions to take on this new role.”
Ole Andersen said: “I have, after five stimulating years with EQT Partners, come to the conclusion that it is time to take this step. I wish to free-up time for other engagements and personal interests and will at the same time continue being part of the EQT system.”
