Prelude hires investment manager

Prelude Technology Investments, the technology venture capital fund manager advising the E98m Prelude Trust, has appointed Russell Haggar as an investment manager.

Prior to this appointment Haggar was director of product strategy for Element 14, a component manufacturer for the telecoms industry that was sold to Broadcom in 2000. He has also worked as head of internet and data communications consulting at Scientific Generics, a Cambridge-based consultancy.

At Prelude, Haggar will look at new investment opportunities in the data communications sector. The firm is in the midst of investing on behalf of Prelude Trust, its investment trust listed on the London Stock Exchange.
