PwC to go after drinks and leisure deals

The financial services firm has made Sean Williams a partner within the drinks and leisure franchise of its corporate finance business.

PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has made Sean Williams, a partner within the drinks and leisure team of the corporate finance.

Since joining PwC Corporate Finance in 1997, Williams’ achievements have included minding Wolverhampton & Dudley’s £37m sale of Varsity and TP Woods pub chains to The Barracuda Group, and earlier in the year, advising Hg Capital on the divestment of Braitrim for £120m.

PwC corporate finance has 350 investment bankers across Europe, around 200 of which are in the UK, focusing on deals up to $500m. Williams’ client list includes Diageo, 3i and Royal Bank Private Equity.

Prior to PwC, Williams spent six years as corporate development manager for Europe at John Labatt, the international drinks group.
