Quester brings in corporate developer

The UK VCT manager is keen to do more business with institutional clients.

UK venture capital trust manager Quester has appointed Martin Williams as head of corporate finance to expand its institutional client business.

Williams is a seasoned corporate finance professional, having spent over decades in the field working for Coopers & Lybrand and Laurence Prust. Until June last year, Williams was a director of rival venture capitalist Advent Venture Partners. He also sits on the British Venture Capital Association’s regulatory committee.

Quester closed its latest venture capital trust in December last year, raising £53m for Quester. The trust will focus on investments in software, internet enabling technology businesses, telecoms services and equipment, semiconductors, optical networking, new media, healthcare, life sciences and new materials.
