Rhode Island approves $100m in commitments

The US public pension has backed an agribusiness and a diversified fund.

Rhode Island State Treasury has approved commitments of $50 million each to Paine Schwartz Food Chain Fund V and Baring Private Equity Asia Fund VII.

The $8 billion US public pension has a 7 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 5.5 percent.
