Rhode Island State Treasury has approved a commitment of up to $30 million to Vinci Capital Partners III, according to a report on the pension’s website. The fund will target buyouts of middle-market companies in Brazil.
The $8.18 billion US public pension has a 7.0 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 6.60 percent.
As illustrated in the charts below, Rhode Island State Treasury had made four commitments to 2017 vintage private equity funds, with this commitment to Vinci Capital Partners III making it five. Altogether the commitments total $209 million.
