Rockefeller private equity chief joins Central Park

Private equity and venture capital veteran Jeffery Moy has joined alternative investment firm Central Park Group as head of private equity.

Jeffery Moy, former private equity chief at Rockefeller Financial, has joined New York-based Central Park Group as head of private equity.

Moy started at Central Park in early January to help the firm build out its private equity investment products. Prior to working as head of private equity at Rockefeller Financial, which he did from 2011 to 2012, he was a senior managing director at Liberty Mutual Investment Advisors. During his 16-year career at Liberty Mutual, Moy worked on sourcing and monitoring a portfolio of funds in venture capital, growth capital, leveraged buyouts, emerging market funds, private equity secondaries and co-investments.

Central Park Group is an alternative investment firm that provides high net worth individuals and smaller institutions access to private equity funds, real estate funds, fund of funds and hedge funds. The firm was founded in 2008 by Greg Brousseau and Mitchell Tanzman, co-founders and former heads of the UBS and Oppenheimer alternative businesses.

Rockefeller Financial declined to comment on Moy’s departure. It is unclear whether the firm has plans to hire a replacement head of private equity.
