Sightway Capital raises $1.2bn

The New York-based private equity firm closed its inaugural fund.

Sightway Capital held a final closing of Sightway Capital I at $1.20 billion in October 2019, nearing its $1.30 billion target. Capital raised by the vehicle will be used to make buyout investments in companies throughout the United States within the financial services and real assets sectors.

Founded in 2018, Sightway Capital was launched as a private equity affiliate of Two Sigma Ventures. The firm places a heavy emphasis on technology and data analytics when working with portfolio companies, similar to its parent company.
