Siris Capital raises $3.45bn

The New York-based firm closes its fourth fund.

Siris Capital Group has held a final close of Siris Partners IV at $3.45 billion. Together with its parallel funds, Siris exceeded its $3.0 billion target. The fund will continue a strategy of control investing and will target mature mission-critical companies navigating technology transitions.

Fund IV nearly doubled the fundraise of its predecessor vehicle, Siris Partners III, which closed at $1.8 billion in 2015.

Limited partners known to have committed to the fund include: Arkansas Teacher Retirement System (ATRS), Cambridge Associates, Connecticut Retirement Plans and Trust Funds, Florida State Board of Administration, Houston Municipal Employees’ Pension System (HMEPS), Los Angeles County Employees’ Retirement Association, Los Angeles Fire & Police Pension System, New York City Board of Education Retirement System, New York City Employees’ Retirement System, New York City Fire Department Pension Fund, New York City Police Pension Fund, New York State Common Retirement Fund, New York State Teachers’ Retirement System (NYSTRS), Teachers’ Retirement System of the City of New York and Virginia Retirement System.
