SK Capital Partners raises $400m

The New York-based private investment firm closes debut small-cap fund at hard-cap.

SK Capital Partners has held a final close of SKCP Catalyst Fund I at its $400 million hard-cap. The fund, which had a target size of $300 million, is focused on lower mid-market specialty materials, chemicals and pharmaceutical companies, which generally require up to $50 million of initial equity.

The New York State Teachers’ Retirement System has disclosed a commitment to the fund of up to $40 million.
