Southfield Capital raises $200m

Southfield Capital has raised $200 million to date for its Southfield Capital II. The Greenwich-headquartered firm had a $175 million target and began fundraising in 2015.

Its previous fund raised $150 million in 2006.

Investors that committed to Southfield Capital II include a diverse group of institutional investors including US, European and Middle Eastern family offices, fund of funds, insurance companies, public pensions and a private bank.

The fund will target buyout opportunities in outsourced business services and specialty finance sectors in North America.

Proskauer Rose was the fund’s legal advisor. Southfield Capital used Stonington Capital Advisors as placement agents.
