TCDRS approves $85m commitment

The US public pension has backed a China-focused fund.

Texas County and District Retirement System has made an $85 million commitment to Hillhouse Fund IV. The fund seeks buyout opportunities and minority stakes in companies based in China.

The $30 billion US public pension has a 16 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 12.85 percent.
