Texas County commits $70m to private equity

The US pension plan has committed to two private equity vehicles in August.

Texas County and District Retirement System has approved commitments to two private equity funds this month, allocating $30 million to OpenView Venture Partners V and $40 million to Joy Capital II.

The US public pension fund has a 14 percent target allocation to private equity, and currently commits 11.6 percent of its portfolio to the asset class.
