TRSL confirms $275m in commitments

The US public pension has backed five PE funds in its latest round of commitments.

Teachers’ Retirement System of Louisiana has confirmed $275 million-worth of private equity commitments across five vehicles, a contact at the pension informed Private Equity International.

The commitments comprise of $75 million apiece to Ares Special Opportunities Fund, Audax Mezzanine Fund V and Silver Lake Partners VI; alongside $25 million each to Summit Partners Venture Capital Fund V and Thoma Bravo Discover Fund III.

The $18.72 billion US public pension has a 14.0 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 19.0 percent.

As illustrated below, TRSL’s five aforementioned private equity commitments have been directed towards two buyout funds, two mezzanine vehicles and one venture fund.
