Vector Capital hires Matthew Blodgett as managing director

The California-based growth equity firm adds Blodgett for non-control investments.  

Vector Capital has hired Matthew Blodgett as managing director. In the role, Blodgett will focus on building investor partnerships with technology firms, and non-control investments.

Prior to joining Vector, Blodgett was focused on technology investments at North Bridge Growth Equity, where he served as a partner in the firm.

California-based Vector Capital is a private equity firm focused on growth equity investments in technology, specifically targeting recapitalizations and turnarounds.  The firm manages approximately $2 billion in equity.

Vector is currently investing out of its fourth fund, Vector Capital IV which closed on $1.2 billion in 2007, according to Private Equity International’s research and analytics division. Investments have included LANDesk Software, RAE Systems and Register.com.
