Veritas Capital closes on $3.55bn

The New York-based private equity firm continues to target mid-market technology companies.

Veritas Capital Partners VI has held a final close on its hard-cap of $3.55 billion. The oversubscribed fund, which had originally targeted $3 billion, spent just four months on the road. It will follow the firm’s strategy of investing into mid-market technology companies operating in the firm’s core sectors of aerospace and defense, healthcare, technology, national security, communications, energy, government services and education.

Investors committed to the firm’s sixth fund include Teachers' Retirement System of the State of Illinois, El Paso Firemen & Policemen's Pension Fund, NYSTRS and Montana Board of Investments.

Veritas Capital Fund V closed on $1.88 billion in August 2014, having launched in April that year.
